Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in California aged 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.

The renowned industry figure passed away following his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a highway in LA on this past Sunday, according to.

"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
